Aule // Valaquenta
He is a smith and a master of all crafts, and he delights in works of skill, however small, as much as in the mighty building of old. His are the gems that lie deep in the Earth and the gold that is fair in the hand, no less than the walls of the mountains and the basins of the sea

I drew Aulë several months ago and never got round to posting him 😦
Aule never stopped loving Mairon, even after all that he had done and dealt, even after his fall and perversion of the craft he had taught him. Though he wanted to be able to hate him and purge him from his thoughts he just could not. Mairon was his favorite most bright student, a son to him, he could never wholly divorce his relationship with him even when he thought it was best.
Aule hated his deeds and who he became, but he always loved him and never referred to him as the abhorred one.

Aulë and Yavanna (cause they kind of perplex me like they’re that couple you know who have been married for decades but you d o n ‘ t k n o w w h y)
I picture Yavanna as taller/bigger than her husband
}:)
*knows that Sauron is a character that deserves no redemption*
*carefully ignores it and draws a redeemed Sauron with Aule anyway*
